Events - Viewing, Editing & Adding

Events are special occurrences or milestones that your X4 items may be subjected to as you use them. They include, for example, orgasm, various periodic levels of arousal, loss of virginity, your X4 item being touched, certain Add-Ons being put on or taken off, etc. depending on the specific item you are using. Using your Configure webpage you can customize what happens, if anything, during these and other Events.  Events may include spatial text, animations, sound effects and facial expressions (please note that not all Events will feature all of these things).

Please note that some Events are particular to specialty X4 item shapes (for example, Knotting for Canine shapes) or may rely on the presence of specific add-ons (for example, Chastity requiring that a chastity device be worn or 'Clamp Attached' requiring a Clamp be equipped) in order to occur.

  4. Click the 'Configuration' link in the column on the left under 'X4'.

OR

All of the Events that you currently have included in your chosen Profile are listed here. Every time you Sync this Profile to your X4 item they will update their Events based on what is on this page.  If this page is empty you will have no special actions triggered when any Events occur for this Profile.

Editing an Existing Event

You can, at your discretion, alter the behavior of your X4 item's Events to suit your preferences, play style and situation. Please note that the Second Life browser may not properly display the pull-down menus in the Edit Events page properly.  If this happens to you, simply open the webpage in an external web browser by clicking the 'Open in My Web Browser' button in the lower left corner of the Second Life browser window.

  1. View your Events on your Configuration webpage.  (For information on how to do this, refer to the 'Viewing Your Events' section above).
  2. Click the 'Edit' button next to the Event you want to make changes to.
  3. Make the changes you want to the fields in the 'Edit Event' page.  The fields are described below.
  4. When you are finished making changes, click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page.  This will take you back to your Events page, where you can view what your Events will now look like for this Profile.

If you wish to load these new Events into your X4 item immediately click to place the green checkmark next to the Profile you just made changes to, and then sync in-world.  Otherwise, your new Events are now saved in that Profile ready to be used at your discretion.

The Edit Event fields are as follows:

  • Event - which special occurrence the changes you are making should apply to. Select from the pull-down menu.  Note that only the selected Event and any Events you have not previously defined will appear in this menu.  Events that have settings will not appear.  To make changes to those Events, return to the Events page and 'Edit' them.
  • Text (optional) - a spatial text message that will play when this Event occurs, if any. To make your text more flexible and where possible grammatically correct, you can use special variables to replace affected text.  For a list of the variables you can use, check here.
  • Text Destination - determines who should be able to hear any spatial text associated with this Event. The options are:
    • Whisper - only avatars within 10 meters of you will hear it
    • Say - avatars within 20 meters of you will hear it
    • Myself Only - only you will hear the spatial text
  • Arousal Intensity (optional) - how much arousal this Event should cause, if any, when it occurs.  Use caution when setting your Arousal Intensity - using too large a number may cause you to orgasm much sooner than you expect, and using too small a number may not case enough arousal increase for your taste. If you do not want to include arousal increase for this Event simply leave the value at 0.
  • Kink (optional) - which Kink, if any, influences the performance of this Event. If you do not want to include a Kink with this Event simply leave the value at 'none'.  For more information of Kinks please check here.
  • Animation (optional) - which animation should execute when this Event occurs, if any.  The animation file referred to must be installed in your Xcite! Drop Box and your Xcite! Drop Box must be worn for it to work. You must type in the name of the animation exactly as it appears in Second Life.
  • Sound Effect (optional) - which sound file should execute when this Event occurs, if any.  The sound file referred to must be installed in your Xcite! Drop Box and your Xcite! Drop Box must be worn for it to work. You must type in the name of the sound file exactly as it appears in Second Life.
  • Facial Expression (optional) - which Second Life expression should execute when this Event occurs, if any. Select from a pull-down menu of the Second Life Expressions.
