Upgrading/Replacing

To upgrade/replace your X4 item:


1.  Go to the Upgrade Center in an official Xcite! shop in-world.

2.  Click on the X4 Upgrade/Redelivery Kiosk and load the webpage that is presented either in your SL browser or into an external browser..

3.  Click the button representing the X4 item you wish to upgrade.


OR


1.  Make sure you are wearing your X4 HUD.

2.  Click the ‘Sync’ button on the main window of your X4 HUD.

3.  Click the ‘Configure’ button on the Sync window.

4.  Load the webpage that is presented either in your SL browser or into an external browser.

5.  Click on the ‘Account’ button in the upper right portion of your Profile webpage.

6.  Click the ‘Replace Lost Items’ link under Re-delivery.

7.  Click the button representing the X4 item you wish to upgrade.


The item will be delivered to you in-world.


VERY IMPORTANT - If you receive an upgrade for your Xcite! X4 Drop Box DO NOT simply discard your old one.  Make sure that you remove any items that you installed into the old Drop Box first (this includes Combos, animations, sounds, etc.) and move them into the new Drop Box before discarding your old one.  We cannot be held responsible for lost items that you accidentally discard in this fashion.


Please note that this method can only be used for X4 items and modern versions of other Xcite! items that are Copy/No Transfer. Pre-X4 body parts and older Xcite! items that are No Copy/Transfer cannot be upgraded/replaced in this way. For these items please click the ‘Upgrade’ button which will be found in your items’s Options menu while standing in the Xcite! store Upgrade Center and follow the directions sent to you via text and dialog. 



Upgrade Notifications


When a new version of your X4 item is available you will be notified via dialog box. This notification will repeat once per day until you upgrade your item, or until you opt out of the upgrade notification.


To opt-out of the upgrade notification, click the 'Never' button in the notification dialog box.  Please note that this only opts you out of notifications for this particular item, and will remain in place only until you do the upgrade.  Once you upgrade the notification resets, and you will receive the next one.


To close the dialog box without opting-out, click the 'Not Now' button in the Notification dialog box.  You will be notified again after about a day, or if you Sync in the meantime.


To do your upgrade right then, click the 'Teleport' button.  This will open up the SL Map to the Xcite! shop location, and you can TP right to the shop.
