Customizing Your Kinks

To set your Kinks at levels that make sense for you

  1. Go to the My Kinks web form, available on the Xcite! website.  If you use an X4 HUD you can get to the My Kinks web form by going to your Configure web page and clicking the 'Kinks' link available there.  All others should go here .
  2. Adjust the settings for each Kink you want to modify by clicking the appropriate buttons. You will find an explanation of what each of the individual settings mean below in the 'What do the My Kinks Settings really mean?' section.
  3. When you are finished making changes click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form.
  4. If you are using X4 items, return to your X4 HUD and click the 'Sync' button on the Sync' window to apply the changes to your X4 Genitals, and you are done (skip the rest of the steps.)
  5. If you are not using X4 Genitals, copy the text in the box on the next page.  Be sure to copy ONLY the text inside the box, and no extraneous text from the rest of the web page.
  6. While you are wearing your Xcite! genitals, right click on them in-world and select 'Edit' from the menu.
  7. In the Edit window click the 'Contents' tab.
  8. Scroll down through the Contents window until you find a notecard called 'My Kinks', then right click on that notecard and select 'Open' from the menu.
  9. Delete the contents of this notecard, and then paste the text you copied from the web page into the notecard in its place.
  10. When finished, click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the notecard.
Your Xcite! genitals will reset automatically when this change is made.  Allow the reset to finish before attempting to use them.

What do the My Kinks Settings really mean?

This is how the individual My Kinks settings actually affect your arousal:

"Do you enjoy tickling?"

This setting affects the percentage of the total possible arousal that you will receive for Actions that are associated with this kink. Selecting 'Love it' means you will receive the full arousal increment possible from that Action.  Selecting 'Hate It" means you will receive no arousal increment.  Selecting one of the values between the two means you will receive a certain percentage of the possible arousal increment.

"When does it stop being uncomfortable?"

This setting determines at what stage of your arousal cycle Actions using this kink will stop having a negative impact on your arousal level. A setting of 'Unaroused' means these kinds of Actions never have a negative impact on your arousal level. A setting of 'Orgasm' means these kinds of Actions will always have a negative impact on your arousal level. Any setting between these two indicates the point in your arousal level when these Actions will stop having negative impact on your arousal level.  Please note that just because something stops having a negative impact does not mean it automatically starts having a positive impact. If there is a gap between this setting and the subsequent "When does it turn into pleasure?" setting these Actions will have neither positive nor negative impact on your arousal level - meaning they will not affect it at all.

"When does it turn into pleasure?"

This setting determines at what stage of your arousal cycle Actions using this kink will start having a positive impact on your arousal level. A setting of 'Unaroused' means these kinds of Actions always have a positive impact on your arousal level. A setting of 'Orgasm' means these kinds of Actions will never have a positive impact on your arousal level. Any setting between these two indicates the point in your arousal level when these Actions will start having positive impact on your arousal level.  Please note that just because something starts having a positive impact  at a certain point does not mean it automatically has a negative impact before that. If there is a gap between this setting and the previous "When does it stop being uncomfortable?" setting these Actions will have neither positive nor negative impact on your arousal level - meaning they will not affect it at all.

"Will you orgasm from this alone?"

This setting lets you determine whether or not an Action using this kink can send you over the edge to have an orgasm. It has no effect on pleasure and discomfort settings or how fast arousal happens with these kinds of Actions.  It affects only your ability to orgasm with Actions of this type.
