When you first purchase your Xcite! X4 item it comes with a default Skin Texture in a variety of color tones for you to choose from. X4 Skin Packs are an Add-On for your X4 item, much like piercings and tattoos, that give you even more choices as to the look of your X4 item. They come in a variety of shades, including Tintable in most cases, a variety of styles where appropriate (cut and uncut for example for the cock) and some are even not meant for humans. Choose one, or choose several and switch between them, it's up to you. Make your X4 item as unique as you are.
X4 Skin Packs are an Add-On to X4 body parts. You must own the appropriate X4 body part for your X4 Skin Pack to work.
Please also note that not all X4 Skin textures are meant to be used with all X4 Shapes (for example, a skin designed for a human-shaped cock should not be used on a canine cock shape). Be sure to check the information notecard available from the vendors for both your shapes and skin packs to check for restrictions or compatibility requirements.
How Do I Get One?
X4 Skin Packs may be purchased at any official in-world Xcite! shop in the same area where X4 body parts are sold, from the Xcite! website and from the SL Marketplace.
IMPORTANT: X4 Skin Packs are an Add-On for your X4 body part, which means that when you buy them they are NOT delivered to you as objects that need to be installed. They are automatically installed for you into your X4 Configuration webpage so that you can, at your discretion, choose to load or unload them from your X4 body part as you prefer.
How Do I Load My X4 Skin Pack?
1. Wear your X4 body part. (If this is the first time you are wearing your X4 body part it will perform an automatic initial sync - allow this sync to finish before clicking anything.)
2. Left click your X4 body part and from the dialog box select ‘Options’.
3. From the dialog box select ‘Configure’.
4. Load the webpage to which you are directed.
5. You will be looking at your Configure web page Profile page. Find the Profile for the X4 body part you are using (unless you have created more than one Profile there will only be one).
6. From the dropdown menu next to that Profile select ‘Change Appearance’.
7. Scroll down the Appearance page until you get to the section listing all the Skins available for that body part. The list will be grouped according to Skin Pack. Place a check in the box next to whichever Skin Texture you wish to use.
8. Click the ‘Apply Changes’ button at the bottom of the page.
9. Back in-world, left click your X4 body part and from the dialog box select ‘Options’.
10. From the dialog box select ‘Sync’.
11. From the dialog box select ‘Reload’.
Be sure to allow the sync to finish before you try doing anything else. Your X4 item should now feature the skin texture you chose.
How Do I Switch to a Different Skin Texture?
