My Xcite! item was never delivered / I seem to have misplaced my Xcite! item / SL ate my Xcite! item!
If your missing Xcite! item is Copy/No Transfer (for example, all X4 items) you have several methods available to you to get that item redelivered without having to contact Customer Support.
I am having trouble clicking on my invisible Xcite! item.
It is possible that the position or size of your invisible Xcite! item needs to be adjusted to make clicking easier.
- Make sure you are wearing your Xcite! item.
- Click Control-Alt-T on your keyboard to turn on See Invisibles mode. (Invisible items will be visible as transparent red shapes.)
- Right click on your Xcite! item and select 'Edit' from the drop down menu.
- In the Edit window select the 'Stretch' radio button and use the white boxes to adjust the size of your Xcite! item.
- In the Edit window select the 'Move' radio button and use the colored arrows to adjust to position of your Xcite! item on your avatar.
- In the Edit window select the 'Rotate' radio button and use the colored wheels to turn your Xcite! item.
- Close the Edit window when you are finished.
An ex-partner of mine seems to be getting all my arousal and orgasm messages even though I am not with them at the moment.
This is likely due to the use of the 'Private' chat mode, which restricts spatial messages put out by Xcite! items to you and the person with whom you are interacting. If you forget to turn off the Private chat setting afterward the messages will still go to that person. It is highly recommended that after playing using the Private chat setting that you select 'Whisper' or 'Say' as your chat setting to cancel the Private mode.
When someone clicks my Xcite! item the messages say 'she' when I am a man.
This means you do not have your gender setting set properly. To do this:
- Make sure you are wearing all your Xcite! parts and your X4 HUD.
- From the main screen of your X4 HUD select 'My Body'.
- From the My Body screen select 'Settings'.
- Use the arrows next to the word 'gender' to scroll through your Gender options, and choose the one that is most appropriate.
Please note that clicking a gender symbol on a paperdoll screen does not set your gender. Please also note that using the Options menu for one of your Xcite! items to change gender changes the gender for that item only, not your other Xcite! items.
